If there is one helmet that looks both retro and high-tech at the same time, it's Roof. The French brand was founded in 1993 by Claude Morin on the French Riviera, and it exploded onto the scene in a big way: the 1995 Boxer helmet revolutionized the market with its 180° flipping chin bar. With this, Roof practically invented a whole new category — the modular "boxer" style, which has been copied ever since. Why do bobber and cruiser fans love them? Because Roof helmets fit custom and Harley-Davidson bikes exceptionally well — in both style and philosophy. The chin bar can be fully retracted, transforming it from a full-face into an open-face, jet-style helmet in one swift motion. And thanks to its dual (P/J) homologation, it can be legally used in both configurations. The modern range includes the lightweight, fiberglass or carbon shelled Boxxer and Boxxer Carbon, the sportier RO200 Carbon, and the Desmo — the brand works with its own development department and in-house testing lab, so behind the stunning looks, there's serious engineering work. Choose the Roof that matches your style — and ride the way you like: open or closed.
