In 1948, a young couple, Charlie and Afton Barnett, opened a small shop in Huntington Park, California. More than 75 years later, Barnett still bears the same name – and is still run by the same family. Barnett is one of the world's most recognized manufacturers of motorcycle clutches and cables, producing almost all of its parts in its own California factory, in the United States. The brand is famous for its "High Efficiency" cables – with stainless steel strands and Teflon or nylon lining, which provides much smoother, more precise operation than traditional factory vinyl cables.
