Fits model 65A generator (30851-65A) with small 12-volt battery in oil tank. This 926730 is a special low amperage model that offers reduced charging voltage. Designed to be used with small batteries and for models with in-tank (horse shoe) batteries. Hot batteries have an increased chemical reaction and therefore draw a higher amperage which, in extreme situations, can cause overcharging and present you with a boiling battery. This 926730 Low Amperage model will help prevent this. Works with or without battery. For no battery operation a magneto ignition or capacitor is required. Will replace the stock style mechanical regulator. This replacement is a fully electronic model, offering all the benefits of modern solid-state electronics. Bolts directly to the 'Bell-End' of your stock generator.
Fits: 65-69 FL; 65-81 XL Sportster. With small 12-volt battery in oil tank.
